Atomic spectra sonified

Electromagnetic spectra of atoms and ions, ranging from deep infrared up to far ultraviolet, were transposed exactly 40 octaves down to make them audible. In most of my nanotonal music, atomic spectra of several chemical elements are mixed [1]. Composers and other artists, however, have asked me for separate sounds. So here they are: you may download, hear, use and reuse them in your own compositions, installations, etc., provided that you credit me [2].

Notes:

  1. In composition Mendelejev 1-16, which runs through the first 16 elements in the periodic table, adjecent spectra slightly overlap.
  2. Sounds are available for download as lossless-compressed flac (and non-compressed aiff) files.
